Pekka Rinne
2016/2017: 122 fpts (61 games) Tier 2
2015/2016: 115 fpts (66 games) Tier 2
2014/2015: 166 fpts (64 games) Tier 1
2013/2014: 33 fpts (24 games) Backup (Injured)
fpt per season average since 2013/2014 season = 109
Pekka Rinne's contract offer is subject to Step 4cii
As Pekka's contract offer has to fall into the 5m-6m range, based on his weighted fantasy point average this brings him down to the 5m mark.
The Predators offer Pekka a 1 year contract at $5,000,000

Although it's not actually in the rules, I think we should assume that an injured year, especially under the 30 GP mark ,shouldn't really count in the negotiation. Therefore I think his average is actually 133 over the 3 years and should be in the higher range of the 5-6 Mil. I feel that at the very least 5.5 should be offered.

Ouch Colin . The rules have been followed in this instance and I also feel like this contract captures Rinne's past injury history and age, he isn't a spring chicken! Rinne simply won't see as many starts this year as the Predators will look to start grooming Saros to be their future number 1. Thanks.

Think 5.5M makes more sense as well. Also, extrapolating his fppg over a regular season (61GP) gives him 83.3, still low compared to more recent years, but would bump his average up to a level that is more respectable.
