2018-19 - 2.07 FP/G Tier elite 2017-18 - 1.44 FP/G Tier 2 2016-17 - 1.50 FP/G Tier 1 2015-16 - 1.13 FP/G Tier 2
Draisaitl took a huge jump in production this year netting 50 goals and over a hundred points. Based on the pay scale he should land in the Max salary range, but because he had 2 previous seasons where he is in a lower production tier, he is eligible for the 8.75m-9.5m mill range.
Due to such a large jump in production I will offer a bridge deal
I offer
2 years @ 8.75m

Yes he had 2 previous years in lower tiers, but he also showed a jump which shows progression, and that should bump him up a salary range to cancel out the dropping of a range.
If this were a 1 yr deal I might be more lenient but I feel like 2 years should be 9.5 mil
sorry Shaner

Agree with Colin, 0-2. I'd be okay for 1 year, but for 2 needs to be at 9.5M

i am usually the most anal and follow the chart to a fault but i actually don't mind this resign as its only 2 years and i feel there is some risk with him duplicating this season.

I actually agree with Chris here. Seems like a pretty big jump in production to just assume it’s progression and not a potential outlier. I think the price and term are fair.

I will unfortunately have to be the third no on this. I think it is a bit hard to judge where he is at, because he does have those two seasons in a lower tier, but one was his first "full" season, where he played in 72 games. I am not even thinking that he needs to go right to 9.5M, but going to the low end of the second salary range is just too far a drop. I would approve something in the 9-9.25M range for 2 years.
