2018-19 - 1.80 FP/G Tier 1 2017-18 - 1.41 FP/G Tier 2 2016-17 - 1.41 FP/G Tier 2 2015-16 - 1.30 FP/G Tier 2
Mr. Huberdeau has been a steady and solid contributor as a fantasy scorer for quite some time. This last season he did take it to another level. This is why I do want to sign him to a longer term contract because of his age but I will sign him at the average over the past 3 years.
I’d like to offer
4 years @ 6 Mil

So... It's your first go so totally understandable that you may have got mixed up with the rules which can be a head scratcher.
When we re-sign a player the most important number is the most recent season.
His 1.80 FP/G season puts him in the 8-8.75 range. He has had lower tiers in the past so you can bring him down a range, but he is also showing steady preogression which cancels that out. Based on his weighted average his offer would look something like 2 years @ 8 mil.
He also falls into the bridge deal, which is 2 years max usually. So with the new flexability you would have to offer him a bit more money for a longer term.
So give it another go, if you had said 2 x 8 mil I would approve it in a second. If you're worried about the high cap it for more than 1 year than I would advise you to do a 1 yr deal if you don't have many free agents next off season and see if he drops off a bit and get a better deal next year.

Denied 0-2.
Agree with Colin here as well. May have some wiggle room on a 1-2 year deal. On a 4 year deal, I'd want to see the upper echelon of the 1.8 range (8.75).
