2018/2019 - 0.81 FPPG - 81 GP - Tier 3 2017/2018 - 1.02 FPPG - 71 GP - Tier 3 2016/2017 - 0.75 FPPG - 66 GP - depth 2015/2016 - N/A 3-Season Weighted Average: 0.86
Offer: $2,000,000 x 4 years
Offering this contract based on his most recent season. Anthony looked like he was going to ramp up his production from 2017/2018, but actually produced slithftly less points in more games. Since he has been consistant with his point production, and played 3 seasons with 41 or more games, I would feel comfortable with offering him based on his average FPPG, and give him term to go along with it.

Step 3a
Bridge Contract Rule: 2 year max contract term Players who fall into one or more of the following criteria are subject to the Bridge Contract Rule:
a) 2 or less full NHL seasons (41+ games) played in last 4 NHL seasons b) Production tier in most recent season has not been replicated in players recent seasons (move to step 4) c) Production tier in 2 or more previous full seasons (41GP+) are higher than production tier in most recent season (move to step 3b to see if it applies)
He doesn't fall into the bridge category, unless I'm missing something.

I think the bridge requirements have been eased recently. I would like to see Jacobs response as my understanding was bridge rule intention was to prevent locking up young guys just off their elc for long term at a low cost. Current wording of bridge seems to target drop offs and barely regular nhl players with low gp

Current wording of bridge seems to target drop offs and barely regular nhl players with low gp Then based off of this every player coming off of a ELC should be a bridge. He's played 3 seasons with 41+ games and been consistant with those three years. Theres no clear signs that he's going to improve based off of what hes done based on the numbers so far. Then it comes down to speculation instead of the numbers shown.

Im gonna vote no on this as well. Its a bit too low, with his age taken into account I think you have to pay a little more if offering a 3 or 4 year deal. Progression is expected and should be taken into account here

The reason we have this voting system is to make sense of the rules and the situation. Sometimes there are loop holes and the community will close them.
2 x 1,750,00 you're laughing, 3 x 2.5, 4 x 3 I'd approve any of these offers.
No harm in trying though Alex! You get 2 tries for a reason.
