Robin Lehner
2019/2020 Goalie Prorating Factor: Lehner played 33 out of 62 regular season games for CHI. After being traded, Lehner played 3 out of 7 regular season games for VGK. Therefore, Lehner had 36 GP out of 69 games on an NHL roster, which equates to 42.78 GP over an 82 game season. 42.78 GP x 2.58 FP/GP = 110.37 FP.
2019/2020: 110.37 FP (42.78 GP) - Tier 2 2018/2019: 136.75 FP (46 GP) - Tier 2 2017/2018: 80.45 FP (53 GP) - Tier 3 2016/2017: 129.30 FP (59 GP) - Tier 2
Lehner has been one of my favorite goalies since his Buffalo days, so I’m extremely happy I inherited a team with him on it. I’ve watched him passionately vocalize his displeasure about playing in a losing culture, confront his personal issues, choose not to re-sign the Islanders, earn a “starting job” on a cup contender, and sign a long term contract at the end of it. His career has brought me immense joy, and I am excited to see what his future brings.
NYR would like to offer the following contract.
$5.5M x 4

In my opinion, this should been around $250k-500k more, but not enough to disapprove the offer.

I am going to have to deny this. I agree with what Alex is saying above, that 250k-500k higher would work, but I think on a long deal like this, that is too much money to let slide. Also, last season, Lehner was splitting time with MAF, and it is already out that Lehner is the guy this season. He has two seasons above the 5.5 range, with one really bad year, and one as a mostly backup type season. It is a bit of a gamble, but with him being the guy this year, and his resume of success, he is worth just a bit more money. I would be okay with 2x5.75, or 3/4x6.

sorry Patrick.. i think EJ summed it up pretty good that Lehner really is the true vegas starter now and should get more starts as well. Because of this i would guestimate his true points would probably be more than 110 this year putting him in the higher bracket of 5-6m. With those 2 bigger seasons i would want the top of this range of 6m which i think is actually a steal for you as starting goalies on good teams tend to cost 7m+/yr in this pool.
1-2

I want to move this vote along. I've mulled this one over for a full day and I have to agree with EJ, I'd approve this short term (1-2 years), 3 years @ 5.75 and 4 years @ 6M given he's locked up LT with VGK as well. Denied 1-2.
