I wasn't a part of the original attempt, nor have I read it so there is no bias here.
This is has been offered 1 rung lower than the rules suggest, take into account the weighted average of 1.22 and this is fair.
1-0.

I still would've liked it closer to 5.75 per, but is not enough to make me vote down though since this is a 2 year deal

2-1
I think 5.5 should be the minimum, he's young, last year's was likely based on his holdout and missed training camp etc.
I'd accept a 1 yr deal at 5

5m is tough for me for Willie, could easily be 5.5+, and hard to weight last year like Colin mentioned, but for 2 years I won't fret much. I think he will cost you a pretty in the next set of re-signs which should make up for this bridge.
approved 3-1

Vote still 2-1. Nate is unfortunately not on the re-sign committee this year.

Adding on:
Based on rules I am to use the median average(1.22), and pay him one salary tier higher because he shows an upward trend. So I have Offered him the highest of the next salary range at 5 mil.

So I have Offered him the highest of the next salary range at 5 mil. That's not how it works The main starting point for any re-sign is based of the players last season. We use the previous year's to influence up or down. The median would bring him to the bottom of the range that is decided upon. I mean it's not that simple but the most important # to start with is his 19/20 #s

So, I just want to pipe in. To answer the above add on, in my eyes (I could be reading it wrong), but I see:
Take the player’s production from the most recent season to determine his salary range. 1.4-1.49
Has the player had 2+ full seasons in the past where he was in a lower production tier? Yes, so go to 1.3-1.39
Does the player demonstrate a clear upward trend in production? Yes, so go to 1.4-1.49
Salary offered should be in the 1.4-1.49 range.
You offered the lowest of that range, when he came in at 1.48, so at the very high end of that range, so I just have a really hard time accepting an offer at the very low end of the range, especially when the equates to 750k in difference.
At this time, I am going to abstain in voting, because I want others to see if my math/thinking is right or wrong, but even at two years, this is a stretch for me.

I’m sorry Shane, I know I messaged you about this. But I believe I’ve made an oversight in regards to Nylander’s upwards trend.
I don’t believe the mods here are being too tough or unfair, contracts have been denied for less of a margin.
Unfortunately I will (If Jacob allows it) amend my decision to Denied.
It now stands at 1-2.

First attempt was obv a bad offer and i thought by giving u the desired range (5-5.75m) instead of spoon feeding you the minimum accepted resign (5.25 for me / 5.5 for Col/Jac) you would have reviewed the numbers instead of just lowballing again on the range i sent.
I do understand that the rules are contradictory on how to treat progression on contracts like this so i will share a tip on what i have discovered in my experiences. If the player is young 26 and under a big season is treated as a player coming into his own and previous weaker season are treated as natural progression and a case that he is improving. If the player is older those weaker seasons can be used as an argument the current season is an outlier and to use the 4 season avg as an argument to support your case.
Since this one has no chance of passing with Cal changing his vote i would suggest you take another stab at this one before the voting completes on it.

Appreciate the feedback. After reviewing other comparable players and their contracts, this would likely result in Nylander being underpaid compared to his counterparts. Voting committee is set in place to avoid this. As the rules state he should be released to UFA
