I had a quick look at the rosters and teams that are in salary cap hell in the NHL have 20million in space here prior to amnesty buy outs and are icing a full roster.
thoughts ?

Have to remember a couple of things: 1) We still haven't dispersed the 200+ players from the non-selected teams. Prior to starting the league, teams always have a ton of cap space to account for taking on the contracted teams. 2) Re-sign values are based on the higher cap, there are a lot of players over the next few years who will see their salaries shift up in a major way.
To be honest, my concern is that the cap isn't high enough.

i think as a first year, some of us are trying to figure out how this pool works while others maybe are familiar to this already
so i think this year we should leave things as is and adjust accordingly for next season
and Chris, even the teams that are supposedly in cap hell will be freed of that burden with their 3 amnesty cuts, so all teams will have a healthy cap situation before the draft regardless

Considering there is a guide telling us how much to resign our players for I don't think it's too high

fair points. Be curious to see how our teams utilize this space and what kinds of contracts are offered up. I think cap compliance could be a major trade catalyst if we burn all the space.
