I figured I cannot be the only person with many easy questions and decided to create a thread where I can get my questions answered and if others have questions I haven't thought about asking yet I can see their questions\answers as well.
1) Dispersal draft questions: a) I assume this only covers players that exist as signed players on capfriendly for the 10 teams we did not choose to GM. b) I assume we choose players with their existing contracts and term as is (max 4 years) c) Will we have a master list of available players? d) Can you request a restructure on a newly acquired contract to be one of your 2 allowed for the inaugural season?
2) Free agency questions: a) I assume players cut by amnesty cuts and regular buyouts immediately go into this pool and bypass the dispersal draft. b) I assume players have to be drafted by an NHL club (hence no 17 year old wunderkids) c) I assume all current NHL contracts for these players are null and void for our purposes and we would negotiate new deals for them. d) What date did we decide to open this? I assume team UFA are fair game at this point. e) Is there any rule preventing bidding on players you amnesty cut?
3) RFA resigns: a) Do players have to go up a tier\compensation level ? b) I don't see any information under salary guidelines in the rules. It appears there should be information but this area is currently blank.- Pictures are blocked on my work computer so I missed this earlier c) Can we see an example of a regular deal and a bridge contract and have this added to the rules?

Dispersal Draft
1) Not only signed players, prospects who haven't signed ELCs yet but belong to those 10 teams can also be drafted. 2) Yes. Regular rules apply for prospects though (if under 750K are adjusted to that, if no contract get a 3year@750K contract) 3) Yes. Working on it this week. 4) Yes, players drafted in the dispersal draft can be re-structured.
Free Agency
1) Yes, they will be FAs not in the draft 2) No, they don't need to be drafted, but they do need to no longer be draft eligible according to the NHL rules (so yes no 17 year old wunderkids) 3) Yes all void, you negotiate them according to the bidding format 4) Date to be determined by how long the dispersal draft. Will be end of September likely, we'll have to get through the dispersal draft quickly 5) No rule, you can bid on them if you wish.
RFA re-signs
1) No, their contracts are determined based on the salary guidelines. 2) Not quite sure what you're referring to? Salary guidelines for re-signs are posted for skaters and goalies. It's an image, so if you can't see them, something might be blocking them. - good to know that's solved! 3) Yes, I will provide one once re-structures (and RFA re-signing) are open (opens once we complete the 1st round of dispersal draft, closes 1 week after dispersal)

Thanks BUF for asking those questions and WPG for the info. I have 1 additional question.... Dispersal Draft 1) Not only signed players, prospects who haven't signed ELCs yet but belong to those 10 teams can also be drafted. what about players/prospects from our 20 active teams, who GMs choose not to keep on their roster or to keep in their selection of 15 prospects. Will they be available in the dispersal draft as well?

Yes, they will be available as well. Honestly, may end up including the amnestied players as well and start the draft on September 12. Would be easier to build the master list as it will be any player available in Fantrax that way. Don't think too many amnestied players will be drafted, but a few might. Teams might be willing to re-structure some as well.

a couple more that came to mind-
how long is our regular season?
how will our playoffs(if any) be formatted?
for the goalie requirement- are we using gp totals from active stat-accruing goalie slots?

20 game regular season (first 2 weeks merged because it starts in the middle of the week)
Top 12 teams make the playoffs - 4 division winners get byes, remaining 8 play first round Quarters Semis Finals - final 2 weeks of regular season
May use strict GP totals this year for tracking purposes. If we DO go Premium though, I can add minimum GP requirements for positions.

If we DO go Premium though, I can add minimum GP requirements for positions. not sure what you mean by "strict gp totals" maybe we are talking about the same thing? not sure.. for example if we use my Brian Elliot -.do you mean just looking at the gp # of his regular stat card at the end of the year or... seeing how many gp Elliot actually had while he was in one of my active goalie slots accruing stats for my squad. We can do this without premium and we can search it by dates, so we could get the proper #s during our 20 week regular season
