Ok,
I will try this again
<Seth Jones>
2015/2016: .89 fpts/game (81 games) Tier 3 -2m
2014/2015: .76 fpts/game (73 games) Depth - 1.25m
2013/2014: .72/game (77 games) Depth - 1.25m
2012/2013: fpts/game (# games) Did not play
We will offer a 2 year bridge deal at 2m a year which matches his best year of the 3 he has played. The salary guidelines suggest a salary of 1.5 m a year since his current year was not replicated before in his career.

Sorry, too low.

Too low??
Let's look at Mr. Jones 2015 - 2016 season: first 40 games in Predators' defence: 1g 10a 11points 10PIM -5
last 41 ganes in Blue Jackets' defence: 2g 18a 20points 12PIM -9 WAY BIGGER ROLE IN COLUMBUS
Jones is Blue Jackets' #1 defenceman and plays now in first power play unit. I think $2.000.000 offer is too low even for a bridge contract.

I'll approve, the bridge contract should give him time to prove if he is worth the cash, or if he's a bust.

I think the entire point of a bridge deal is for the player to prove he can sustain or improve the numbers. In this case i am giving him one salary level higher than the guidelines suggest on a 2 year deal given his nhl career to date.

Jones' case is difficult because after he was traded to Blue Jackets he played like $3.000.000 dman. Anyway, I will be one happy GM if you get this contract offer approved because my team is already in "cap hell"

Salary guidelines suggest a 1.5-2 million offer for Jones not a straight 1.5. Most recent year is always going to have the highest impact especially on bridge deals.
As per the guidelines, 2x2 is fair.

I agree with this now. Maybe a little low but small sample size on Columbus shouldn't be the only thing looked at.
Approved.
